21 June Spider Web is closed access to our events for now is by invitation only. 29 March O well SW6 is over and a very big thanx to all who were there, we hope you all had a good time and we will see you at SW7 which has had its date changed to 29/05/2004. Please make a note of the date for SW7 and we hope to see you there. 13 March 2004 Well the weekend is here at last, because I have been as sick as a dog this week, but feel a lot better now. Well our registration for SW6 are going well and are getting more and more each day, so far we got the following registered:
I need to get 10+ registrations before next weekend or else we are not looking that good. Well all I can say is I hope things pickup over the weekend and next week. Thanx Team Spider 17 February 2004 The Spider Shop will soon be open to do custom Case Mods. I'll have pictures of my own case mod, done by me, up soon. We will also be offering new cases, brand new, modified like mine, for about R550.00. All the information about the case mods will be up soon. As for the LAN, if you have not registered please go do so ASAP, so we can get a good feel for the amount of people who will be attending SW5. well with just over two weeks till our LAN, if you have friends who you
know would like to attend, PLEASE!! let us know ASAP. We
are at about 12 people but we need more, LOTS! more, because after all, to
hire a hall costs money. The Spider Shop is well and truly open, so go take
a look around. The shop will be updated all the time, with the goods for sale
all being good value for your bucks. That

The other big news is that the Spider Shop is now open, it has only got a few things on it for now but will be updated soon very soon. That is it from Team Spider enjoy the weekend. 04 February 2004 Hello hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your PC gaming. We cannot wait for SW5 with a little under a month to go all is going well. We are up to 10 players who will attend, so come on if you are not there, well then I guess you will not be there and we will not see you, so go register NOW!! The other big news is the Spider Shop is now open for Biz (it’s the new bright yellow button on the top menu bar : ) ) You will find all you need from CD-R’s, Flip-Files and all your case mods, with light, fans, cables, fan grills and more. The shop is still been set-up, it is open for business, but is still under construction and will be updated all the time. So go take a look around you might find something you like and want to get yourself. Ok well that is about it from me and all that is left to say is go shop and CU @ SW5. 27 January 2004 Ok
well with almost a month to go till SW5 and we are up to 8 people who will
be attending which is looking good. If you intend to be there please go
register ASAP, and bring a friend, hell, bring your whole family if you
like, the more to play games the better. 18 January 2004 Ok well we have got it, the same venue for our next few LANs as last year, so you can bookmark the following dates as being Spider days. 28/02/2004 We hope to see you all at our next LAN. 06 January 2004 Well a new year, and a whole lot of LANning to be done. We are looking at having our first LAN of the year 2004 on the 28/02/2004 so bookmark the day and date. We will have all the information up as soon as we know were, because SW5 might be at a new venue. Xmas & New Year. 01 December 2003 Hello Well
just a little update. We have had 300+ hits so far, not bad : ) About
our Xmas LAN, so far we have got only 3 people who have resisted. If we do
not have 20+ registration by Friday 5 December SW4 will unfortunately have
to be cancelled. So if you intend coming go register ASAP. Thx 10 November 2003 Write-up for SW3 posted, thanx to Renée for doing the write-up. Spider Web 4 is open for registration. I'll have all the information about the venue and so on up soon 03 November 2003 Put pictures of SW3 up for all to see, more things will be up in a day or two so come back soon. 30 October Ok well this will be the last update to our webpage, SW3 will start at 22:00 so all I can say is CU there. I am off work tomorrow getting things ready for SW3. Thx & CU@SW3 Team Spider Old SW2 write-up by Renée Kruger Spider Web 2 kicked off early (yet again!) with guys arriving while we were still laying out cables and setting up the hall. The guys got right down to business after we plugged them into our switches and the day pretty much started at that moment. Registration took place about half an hour later after we finished setting up and all players go an info-pack from all our sponsors, 2 free NAG magazines with CDs and a full program of events. Some
great friends, damn good customers and old favourites showed up next.
Thanks to Ore, NUTTY, FORGE and his friend (sorry, no nick available at
time of going to press ;)) for standing by us (as always). Damn! I forgot
Stormer again :) Our
main sponsors gave us amazing prizes and great T-shirts to wear. Thanks to
Jacques and Daryn @ 1Zone and Wernich at Defcon5, Lynwood for the prizes
and T-shirts. Thanks also to Rich at the Hard Drive Internet Café in
Groenkloof Plaza and Annelie at Carpy Convenience. Extra special thanks to
Len and Lauren from New Age Gaming for all their support and freebies. The
Counter Strike Tournament was a huge hit. We played 4 rounds and gave away
prizes to the top 5 and the bottom 2 players were Stormer and Biker Dude
(aka YSS) tied to a draw which was decided by playing Ching, Chong, Chang
to win a booby prize valued at R40. The overall winner was Strider who
received a brand new copy of Elite Force valued at R300 from Defcon5
Lynwood. 2nd place was Zero who walked off with a DVD Contract
valued at R170 from 1Zone. 3rd place was Kiewiet who received a
Gold Card Gaming Contract valued at over R150 from the Hard Drive Internet
Café in Groenkloof Plaza. Fourth place was Existent_Seeker who won a free
carwash from Carpy Carvenience in Pretoria East valued at R60 and fifth
place was Dubble_07 who walked away with free entrance to Spider Web 3
valued at R80. Go check out our cool pics on the photos page of our
website. The
lucky draw turned out to be well worth the entrance fee paid by those who
won, with prizes ranging from a mini radio controlled racing car to a cd
clock, pc dustcovers, cds, flipfiles and a carwash or 2. Numerous
requests for our braai to go ahead resulted in wet puppies braaing during
the rainfall. Dripping pics on our website are available. We almost ran
out of meat before we ran out of steam. Special
thanks to Netrats in Menlyn Retail Park for their posters and to René for
the the other game pics. Thanks
to Dirkie for his tireless efforts to keep Counter Strike on track. Thanks
to Carl for his amazing help in the kitchen and well, René and Al pretty
much just floated around helping out wherever. Guys.
Go register for Spider Web 3. It's gonna be a blast! 32 hours of gaming fun
not to be missed. Spider Web 3 kicks off a week before exams do (except if
you’re in Matric – sorry!) and starts on Friday night 31 October 2003
(yup, Halloween, folks), and goes on till Sunday morning at 08h00! So
leave your pumpkins at home and come trick or treat with Team Spider. CU @ SW3! Team Spider 29 October 2003 Spider Web 3 Update - 20 People - Over 220 hits :) Well here is a new list of all the people who should be at SW3.
We could also have a whole clan of 5-6 CS players who might come to :) To drink this time we will have different flavours but we will also have Coca-Coke the real thing !!60 LITERS!! of it at R4.00 a mug (500ml) or R30.00 for 10 mugs (you buy a voucher). The food will also be out of this world, because Renée and I have been getting tasters from Carl all the time and it will be great and well worth the price. We will also have a new thing for all those Sponges out there, they are "Sponging Cables" a peer - to - peer cable to copy quicker and faster and to take you of the network. Well with only 2 days to go I look forward to seeing you all at Spider Web 3 and from Team Spiders side we would like you all to know that with out you the LAN games we would be nothing. 30 September 2003 Ok our new Food Menu for SW3 is up, go take a look and see how cheap we are and what is to offer. 29 September 2003 Ok well SW3 is a month and a day away and we hope to CU there. As you can see this is a very full program, NO! time will be given to people who do not have the games installed and who want to play in the tournaments, we start at the set time and that is final. Our Defcon 5 games page has been updated so go take a look. This time round we will also have 3 prizes from Defcon 5, so you had better be there our you will lose out. There will also be changes to the food section up soon so keep an eye on it. Spider Web 2 is only 4 days off, and we hope to see you all there! With
all the fun and prizes up for grabs you would be mad to miss out. There
will be NAG magazines given out for free, DVD contract up for grabs from
OneZone, a brand new game just released given by Defcon 5, Lynnwood Road,
as well as blank CD’s, flip-files and more We
will also be having a braai on the night for which you will have to pay
for, if you want to braai (we supply the meat, you braai it). You will get
a piece of wors and steak to make 2 rolls, there will be salads to all
for only R25.00 or bring your own meat and eat our rolls and salads for
R15.00.
We will have salts, seasonings, butter, paper plates, knifes and forks. Do
not forget to being a friend and they will pay only R30.00 to get in if
you have registered (which you must have else you would not get this
e-mail) Well

19 August 2003 There is a map up now on our Directions page as well as on www.langames.co.za. I have also put up the rules for the WCIII tournament. So far we have 14 gamers comming to SW2. 14 August 2003 Ok the photo page has got something on it to look at, not much, but hay you got to start some were. So go take a look. up and running. We are hard away at planning Spider Web 2 and so far
we have got a total of 10 people who have registered. With just over a
